Update on Rasputin Music in Fresno

As I mentioned before, I used to work at Rasputin's in Berkeley, and ran into my former manager here in Fresno a few days before Tower Records closed down. Anyway, I just wanted to let anyone who cares know what's going on with that. I'm currently working there (hopefully not for too much longer) and we are supposed to open this Saturday (3/24/07). Personally, however, I wouldn't bet on it. I would call next Saturday a much more likely scenario.

Anyway, as Saturday nears, I'll post the goings on here.

Thanks for posting; I've been getting frustrated with the lack of information that's surfaced so far regarding the grand opening, so it's nice to hear that it shouldn't be too much longer now.

So is Saturday kind of a tentative date then? It seems like they'd want to come up with a more concrete date so that they could hype it up somehow.

"Tentative" wouldn't be the right word - more like "misguided hope."
I'll post again tonight after work and let you know how things are looking.

Thanks for the info Ryan. I look forward to a place here in Fresno where I can consign my band's CDs.
Tower did a pretty good job of supporting local bands over the years. I hope Rasputin will do at least as good of a job of consigning local CDs.
